Enjoy your time off! Well deserved!

As promised, here are the audition and ensemble placement audition information for the 2025-2026 School Year.

We will release the exercises to the students in a few weeks so that we give all students the same amount of time to practice.

If you want to start practicing now, we encourage you to practice your chromatic scale. If you want to practice your sightreading, I encourage you to use websites like sightreading factory to do some practice exercises.

For incoming 9th graders or VHS new members, please practice those scales 🙂

We are excited to see our students continue to grow and our program get even better next year.

A very special district MPA! I want to thank all the parents first who came along as bus chaperones and supported all kids on the bus and on site!!
Congratulations to our Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble for both performing incredibly well and earning Straight Superiors at MPA! Very emotional performances full of energy and musicianship and most importantly passion. Thank you to all the amazing parents and families who came to support! Special shoutout to Dr. Tanaka and Mr. Kerestely who came to watch our performances. It’s incredible to have a supportive administration who comes to these events. Not typical at most schools!!

The kids nailed the sightreading and even have a few curve balls thrown at them that they nailed. Mic Drop moments for sure.

Congratulations to Merrick Nicholls and Chris Spingola who also earned a Superior on their student conductor entry.

All 3 Advanced Ensembles played amazingly! Mr Ridgell and I are extremely proud of these musicians. We really have something special here and I hope you realize that these kids are incredibly talented and gifted. These kids are what is right with the world!! Congratulations to all! Rest up this weekend. Spring Break approaches soon :-)
