Meet the Boosters
Mr. Wing has been the Director of Bands at Venice High School since 2020. He received his Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Southeastern University in Lakeland Florida. In 2015, he completed his Masters Degree in Wind Band Conducting from the American Band College of Sam Houston State University.
Vice President of Operations/Volunteer Coordinator. Born and raised in Vermont, moved to FL in 2002 where she met and married her husband of 13 years. 3 children ages 4, 13 and 15 year old VHS Sophomore Berlyn who plays Flute in Symphonic & Marching bands and Oboe in Wind Ensemble. Background in Dental and Medical fields with a passion for volunteering and helping others.
Is a CFP, he is new to us in 2022 helping keep all things financial on track.
Looking over all things technical and in charge of the finance team
Originally from Pennsylvania, relocated to the Venice Area in 1996. She is a CPA holding B.S. degrees from Penn State and USF. She has held board positions with Sarasota Scullers Youth Rowing Program and Laurel Nokomis PTO.
I’m a graduate of VHS 1997 and have been serving the community ever since. I’m happy to serve on many local community Not For Profit boards. You will find me game days in VHS Marching Indians Concession stand.
I was born and raised here in Sarasota County. My husband and I graduated from VHS in 2004 & have been married for 15 years. We have 2 children. Julia a sophomore at VHS, she plays the mellophone & French horn. Cameron is in 6th grade and started band this year playing the trumpet.

CALENDAR
All parents of band students are invited and encouraged to attend Band Booster meetings. Meeting take place monthly, typically on the second Thursday in the band room starting at 7:00 pm.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Band Banquet this Saturday. It was an incredible time to celebrate our success and to celebrate our seniors as they head to their last week of high school! Thank you to everyone who made this a successful night including the incredible banquet committee who worked hours and hours on this. Thank you to Mr. Smith for your incredible support with logistics and the food and the flow of the evening. Thank you Mr and Mrs. Zagst for the incredible desserts, Mrs May and Mrs Thomas for the photos and thank you to Mrs. Davis, Mr Dollard, Mrs Leake and Mr Duncan for all the incredible work behind the scenes. Thank you Mark Lyda for the awesome senior slideshow!
Mr Ridgell and myself were very touched by the really thoughtful senior gifts that you gave us. Thank you for all your dedication and time to make this program better. You will be missed!
